The firm has earned a solid reputation among its clients and missions worldwide and is well-regarded by competitors and partners alike.
The overarching goal of the Women for Women Health Initiative (W4H), funded by DFID, is to improve access to health care for women and children in five states of northern Nigeria (Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Yobe and Zamfara) by increasing the number of female community health workers (CHEWs), nurses and midwives in training, by improving recruitment and retention of female health workers based in rural communities, and by improving coverage by female health workers of women of childbearing age.
W4H will create a Foundation Year Programme across all targeted health training institutions (Colleges of Nursing and Schools of Health Technology) to widen opportunities for girls and women. Currently only a small minority of girls access training due to financial constraints or their inability to meet the entry requirements. W4H will be led by Futures Group, in collaboration with Creative Associates and JHPIEGO. W4W is funded by DFID and implemented in collaboration with the Government of Nigeria.
